Happy Birthday Husband!!!

Yesterday was George's 23rd birthday and we had a really nice day. We both had to work, but I had about a 2 hour break in my day and made his birthday cake from scratch! I must say, I am really proud of this cake. Except the frosting job. I just bought some and didn't have enough for the whole cake. It was Red Velvet!! So so good. We went to the temple together last night and then had a bunch of people over after for cake and ice cream. At first I was totally stressing out because there were 24 people over in our tiny little one bedroom apartment. There were people standing all over the place and I felt bad. Then some family left early and there was a little more room. Then I had a chance to breath a little more. Seriously, I was so claustrophobic in there for a while. Anyway, some people brought some ice cream and cookies so we were totally set in the food department. I thought we would run out of cake, but coincidentally, there were two pieces left when everyone was gone. It was a lot of fun to visit with friends and family on George's special day. He got a couple gifts that totally crack me up. It's kind of tradition in his family for birthdays to get each other a ton of food items. So they'll get this TOWER of gifts all wrapped up and it's things like, in George's case, cereal, mac & cheese, cheeze-its, more cereal, croissants.... and a sudoku book :) My parents gave him a new white shirt for church and some bags of his favorite candy. He was SO excited about the shirt and remembered how much my mom loves the movie, "Nacho Libre" and called her and said in the Nacho voice, "Thank you for the new blouse." This part is only funny if you've seen the movie. I laughed hard and after repeating it again and again for my mom (we were laughing a lot so it made it hard to understand, I'm sure) she laughed hard too.

Well, this is already turning into a long post, but I want to publicly tell George how much I love him and how grateful I am to be his wife. He makes me so happy and is always so patient with me. We always have so much fun together. He'll say things that just make me roll on the floor laughing. I feel safe and protected with him. He has so much knowledge and doesn't ever hesitate to teach me things. I love you so much George. Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!

I'm such a girl

Ok. Best story ever. So, I wake up this morning to get ready for work and hear that our toilet is kind of running. I don't think much of it and turn on the shower first before I go to the bathroom. So I flush the toilet and I'm not even joking, water comes spewing out of the wall! We're talking fire hose here. Within 3 minutes of me trying to figure it out, failing and then calling George, our entire bathroom was flooded. He instructed me to turn off the valve. Wow, seriously? That easy? Geeze, I'm such a girl. So I turn it off and the water stops but I still have a flooded bathroom... and we live UPstairs. I quickly throw down a million towels and call the "emergency maintenance" guy in our apartment complex. He's here within 10 minutes (speedy service!) and is thanking heaven for me putting down towels. Uh, guy, I'm not stupid! Anyway, he fixed it and now, all is well. As for all you readers, never come to me for plumbing assistance.

'Till next time!

Baby Hungry....

Ok,before I start, Mom, please do not freak out. We're not pregnant. Nor do I honestly think it'll be happening anytime soon. Now, I'm sure this is something that just kind of happens when you get married and all your friends and sisters-in-law and co-workers and cousins start getting pregnant and having babies. And frankly, I'm a little jealous. I kinda want to be pregnant. Maybe. I don't know, maybe I don't but my whole thinking is this... If we start having kids now, we'll be young and energetic and then when they're teenagers and leaving the house, we'll still be on the younger side of middle-aged and be able to have fun with them. That's how it is in my family. I love that my parents are young enough to still enjoy going on vacations to Disneyland and Legoland and Seaworld and stuff like that. Sigh..... George and I have talked about waiting about a year and a half until he's actually in PT school. But I think I don't really want to wait anymore. Then again, I could just be hormonal today and really want one and then I'll wake up in the morning and be like, wow, I'm so glad we don't have kids. I love sleeping in on Sundays. Ok, done venting about the baby wanting.

All about my sweet Husband...

1. What is his name? George Stokes Hunt

2. Who eats more? Definitely George

3. Who said I love you first? He did. While I was sitting on the edge of his hospital bed as he was becoming "un-drugged" after getting his appendix out last year.

4. Who is taller? George

5. Who is smarter? Definitely George. He always makes fun of me because I didn't go to college.

6. Who is more sensitive? Me

7. Who does the laundry? I sort, wash and fold. He usually puts them all away though because I leave them on the couch for a couple of days and he gets sick of it. :)

8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? George

9. Who pays the bills? George. I'm financially retarded.

10. Who cooks more? Me.... and Chili's, he he.

11. What meals do you cook together? Breakfast. We make a mean bowl of ceral together.

12. Who is more stubborn? George.... ok maybe me. Ok, we're are both ridiculously stubborn.

13. Who is the first to admit they're wrong? George. I stay mad and wait for him to come talk to me. But I'll admit I'm wrong, just not usually first.

14. Who has more siblings? George, he is #4 of 8.

15. Who wears the pants in the family? Probably George.

16. What do you like to do together? Go out to eat. Movies. Have people over. Just being home together after a long day.

17. Who eats more sweets? Me. George eats a lot at mealtime, but I'm a snacker on anything chocolate ALL DAY. Hence the extra 30lbs.

18. Guilty pleasures? Basketball with our ward, shooting, Wii, Law and Order, Monk (I hate that show more than anything!)

19. How did you meet? A mutual friend invited him with us to institute, like, 5 days after he got home from his mission. We went out to lunch that day and dated for a couple months, then broke up for about 8 months until we both decided that we wanted to be together. It was cute when we got back together. Just all of the sudden one day we were like, hey, I really still like you, hey, I want to be with you. He was sweet.

20. Who asked who out first? George

21. Who kissed who first? George. After he kissed me, I was like, "George, I can't even tell you how happy I am right now." I had been waiting and waiting because I liked him so much and didn't want to ruin it by being to forward and kiss him first (that was kinda my dating personality before George).

22. Who proposed? George. I thought I was going to pass out, and actually thought he was on his way to break up with me.

23. His best features? He gets this wrinkle/dimple on his right cheek when he smiles. I don't know why, but it totally gives me butterflies.

24. What is his greatest quality? He is so patient. I am not really the easiest person to get along with and he really puts up with a lot. I love him so much. More and more each day. He is such a wonderful husband.

Thanks Taly! Ok now I tag...... Stacey, Mom and Kristina.
