Day 10: Songs you listen to when you are happy, sad, bored, hyped, mad

Wow, that's a lot of genre's. But here it goes...

Happy- I love just turning on the radio. The happy hip-hop songs are fun. Black Eyed Peas are my fave when I'm happy.
Sad- I don't think I listen to music when I'm sad.... so I don't know about this one.
Bored- Andrea Bocceli.... it's easy listening and I can hum along to the Italian.
Hyped- uh... Radio again. I don't have a specific kind of music or song.
Mad- Same with sad, no music.

This post was a lame one.... on to tomorrow!

Day 9: Something you're proud of in the past couple days

Well, I guess I'm proud of the fact that I spent time outside alone and with my family before this next crazy storm comes and also stocked up on necessities so we'll be OK trapped for a couple days. Kinda lame, but it's been a lazy couple of days :)

Day 8: Short term goal(s) for this month

Hmmm.... I'm not so good at goal setting and achieving. So this is good for me. I can work in month increments.

1- Be more social. I am going to arrange a GNO and even if I'm the only one there, at least I arranged it!
2- Have my singing time prepared by Saturday. Our ward doesn't start until 1pm, so it's been easy for me to prepare a lot of it that morning. It needs to be done before Sunday though, so that morning can be spent relaxing, reading, listening to music and trying to feel the Spirit.
3- Do my hair and makeup everyday. Because of the weather, we don't go out much and I'm looking homeless. I really love doing my hair, and I'm getting bored with my look anyway.
4- Find more activities to do with Charlotte. You can only read so many books and watch so many episodes of Blue's Clues and Backyardagins. :)

OK- That's good for now, right? I think so.

Day 7: Something that has the biggest impact on you

Well this isn't the best picture, but it's the most recent. George and Charlotte have completely changed my life in so many different ways. The details are personal, but I am a better person because of them both and learn from them every day. I am so blessed to have such a sweet and patient husband and a perfect little daughter.

Day 6: Favorite Superhero

Well, I'm not one that has really ever LOVED superhero's, but I'll go with Batman. I chose him because the guy's a genius! I mean all those gadgets and cars and such, that's awesome in my book. And he lives in a crappy city and genuinely wants to turn it around. I think that's cool too.

Day 5: A place you've been

My absolute favorite place I've ever been was Grand Cayman. We went on a cruise for our honeymoon and one of the stops was here. We decided to do the "Stingray City" tour. It was by far the coolest thing I've EVER done! We were super poor and didn't have a digital camera when we went so we only have prints. So this picture is just one I found online. But seriously, this is exactly what it looked like. We took a boat for almost a half hour into the open ocean and it was SO beautiful. The water is so clear and blue. Magical. Then we arrived on this random sandbar in the middle of nowhere! A bunch of other tour boats had stopped there too. The whole sandbar has TONS of stingrays just swimming around. It's so cool, they'll swim past your leg and scare ya to death, but they're so pretty! The tour guides were in the water with us and taught us how to pick them up out of the water. They were SO heavy! The one helping us told us that if we kissed the stingray we would have 7 years good luck. So we did! I have a cool picture of it, I wish I could put it on here. Anyway, this was the best part of our cruise. I can't wait to go back!!

Day 4: A habit you wish you didn't have...

This one is easy. I am not very optimistic by nature. I tend to blow it off as being "realistic", but the bottom line is I need to be more positive and uplifting. It was one of my goals that I set for this year. Some days are good and some days, especially if I surround myself with people/TV/music that is negative, it makes it a LOT easier for me to be negative.

Day 3: Picture of You and Friends

I don't have any recent pictures of me with friends, but I did find these precious ones!! 

First is me with Whitney and Erin. The high school buddies. We got together with our husbands for dinner one night and had a blast!

 Sweet Meghan. We met in our singles ward and became fast friends. She's my brutally honest, and super fun friend!

 These guys are awesome. Josh and Cindy Edwards. He and George were mission companions, but we've become good friends with them as a couple too. 

 BAH! I miss these guys SO much! Derek and Ariane Riddle are in the middle. We met them in the singles ward and got married just a couple months after they did. Then moved into the same apartment complex. We had such a fun year with them. On the far right are Curt and Amanda Jensen. Amanda and I were pregnant together and I loved having a buddy going through the same things at the same times with me. After the babies were born, we switched babysitting nights with the Jensen's. So fun!! Miss you guys!!

 And the bestie. Stacey and I met in beauty school when we were both still single. We helped each other through so much and have become closer than sisters. This was taken on a family swim night at her mom's house a couple weeks before we moved to Tulsa. Miss her!

Day 2: Meaning Behind Blog Name

Well, the actual address is just our two names. The Vegas Hunt was just something I thought up when I first started the blog and we happened to be living in Las Vegas.... Nothing too original.
