I love Logan

Over the Memorial Day weekend, George and I went up to Logan, Utah to visit with family and celebrate his Grandma's 80th birthday. It was so much fun. I loved getting to know his cousins and aunts and uncles better. There were conversations that had my laughing so hard, I thought I was going to cry. It was so fun. Oh, and his Grandma seriously is almost EXACTLY like my grandma that passed away in August. It was fun to spend time with her as she made dinner and breakfasts. She wrote me a letter after my surgery and the handwriting is seriously the same as my grandma's. It was really sweet to see that and get a letter from her, but it made me cry. I really miss my grandma sometimes. But I realized this weekend one of Heavenly Father's little tender mercies for me. He sent me a grandmother-in-law that is so much like MY grandmother. So wonderful.
Back to Logan. I love it. I love the green and the rain and the mall where I bought 2 cute dresses and the cute little towns outside of Logan. I could totally live there. Maybe. Maybe I need to visit in the winter. I hear they're brutal.
We're planning on going up again over Labor Day weekend. Apparently there's this Cowboys and Indians fight thing? I don't know. Should be fun!

Traumatic May

Ok, I officially declare the month of May, "The Worst Month Since George and Rebecca Have Been Married." Well, let me explain that a little. Relationship, marriage-wise, it's been wonderful. But seriously.... first my wisdom teeth (two weeks solid of pain and lortab's) then my appendix (sore muscles for about a week, no getting up quickly=no dates or anything with George) and now I'm sick with either a cold, or killer allergies (miserable wife=miserable husband).

However, in this ridiculously SICK month, I have been able to read a very very good book. It's called Twilight. Read it. You won't be able to put it down, I promise!

Sad week...

Well, this week started out great. I had a busy first two days of my work week (always nice) and then Wednesday happened! I woke up Wednesday morning with a stomach ache. I've had some bad stomach aches in my life so I figured it would go away. I went to work and did a girls color then was in our back room doubled over in pain. I thought my insides were going to explode! So I went home from work and called my mom to ask her what I should do. We spent the next couple of minutes on our computers looking up possible things it could be. She told me to call my doctor. So I tried to gather my emotions and stop crying while I talked to her. Then the pain hit me really hard and I started bawling again. She told me to get off the phone with her and go to the ER. So I called George and we went to the ER. After some tests and waiting, pain medication (FINALLY!) and more waiting, they said I had appendicitis and needed it removed that night. So I am now appendix free! I'm glad it's out, but the whole experience was seriously traumatizing. The hospital was so crowded that I never got a room. SOOO, I was stuck in a hallway with this guy who kept barfing. Nice. The stay at home has been pretty ok. George is taking good care of me and getting up and down so I can have yet, ANOTHER drink of water, and oh can you grab that pillow, I dropped the remote, will you get it? I'm sick of being cooped up in this house though. No fun. I walk around like an old lady with back problems. Hopefully it'll get better. Yay for good husbands!

That is all for this week. I think I'll post some wedding pics (6 months later...) for you all to see.

I love the internet!

Well, we've seen a lot of people doing this and decided that we want to let you in on our lives and whats going on. Here's a little update in case you didn't already know.
George and Rebecca were married on November 24, 2007 in the Las Vegas Temple. It was so wonderful. We took an incredible honeymoon cruise to Cozumel, Mexico, Grand Cayman and Jamaica. It was a blast. As soon as I can, I'll post some pictures. We have now been married for almost 5 months. Crazy, it's gone by so fast.
We both grew up in the same stake here in Vegas and decided before we got married that we wanted to be in a different stake. We LOVE LOVE LOVE our new stake and ward. And we love our new callings as well. Rebecca is the Nursery Leader and George is the 2nd counselor in the Elders Quorum. It's fun being involved in our ward and getting to know so many new people.
George is currently attending UNLV and working on his buisness major. After he gets his bachelor's degree, he will be going to Physical Therapy school. Not sure where that will take us yet. But we'll figure that out when we get there.
Rebecca is working her life away :) doing hair in a salon called exclamations! salon. It's been busy and a lot of drama with the bosses, but she loves doing hair.
Well, we will be keeping this up regularly so check back often. We want to hear from you all! LOVE YOU ALL!
