Going Private

Well, after way too many scary stories, I am making our blog private soon. If you want to keep reading, leave me your email address. I know this is such a hassle, but I'm scared to death that my sweet girl's pictures will end up somewhere they shouldn't be.
That's it. :)

More Family Fun!

Ok, ok..... I did it. I painted her cute little toes. For those of you who don't know or haven't seen her in person, Charlotte look EXACTLY like George. Nothing like me at all. Except her feet. We both have the huge space between the big toe and the first toe. She grips our fingers and legs and blankets and cheeks, everything, with her toes.... like me. We're weird, I know. Anyway, so I had to paint them so we would match. This was a fun experience :) As you can see in this picture, she is gripping my hand, which makes it extremely hard to paint those little nails.

But she had a good time. Afterwards, it looked like a 2 year old painted them, but after a couple days it looked GREAT. So fun!

I love love LOVE this dress. And she had on a cutsie headband too, but it fell off. This was right after church, she had fallen asleep on the way home. I grabbed the camera because she looked so cute and she opened her eyes for a split second for the picture. Sleepy girl! YAY!!!!!!! Stacey and Owen have moved back to Vegas for a bit and we couldn't be happier! We had a fun BBQ and went swimming. It was a blast. We love you guys!!! Here's Sarah checking Charlotte out. Charlotte's way too interested in the ceiling fan!

Becca and Stace!

Daddy and Charlotte watching TV. He loves her sooooo much!

Dad was on the computer and Charlotte fell asleep in his arms. Too cute!

That's it for now! Charlotte and I are going to Portland with George's sister and brothers to visit Ben and Teira (SIL) for a couple days. It will be Charlotte's first plane ride and our first time to Portland. I can't wait!!!!!!!!

Mommy and Baby Charlotte

Just a couple cute pictures Daddy took of his girls the other day. Charlotte is getting bigger and doing more and more everyday! When she's lying up against something or is in her car seat, she's lifting her head like she wants to sit on her own. It's so funny because sometimes she'll get all red faced because she's trying so hard to sit up. She is also laughing a lot now. It is the best sound in the world! Yesterday we were driving home and I kind of had the music up and was singing along a little. All of the sudden I hear her giggle in the back. I turn down the music and she's babbling away and then she'd just start cracking herself up! It was soo funny!!

That's about it. Someone come visit us! We're bored at home all day.... Really guys, how can you say NO to her face ;)

2 months old!

BAH!! I just love this girl! She's totally chunking out on us! At her last appointment she was 13lbs 11oz. WOW!! I love it. Just after her bath. Look at her long eyelashes, finally! They took forever to grow. Now if only she could grow some on her head! :)

She just started sitting in the Bumbo. She likes it pretty much. She'll sit here on the table while I make dinner or do dishes. She's such a good baby.
For the past three nights she is waking up a lot. I think it's because she's been taking 3-4 hour naps in the afternoon. We'll be stopping that. This morning I knew she was tired so I just laid her down in her crib and she cried for about 5 minutes and I went in. She immediately stopped crying and smiled a huge smile up at me. Grr. I laughed then got serious and said, "Charlotte, it's time to sleep! Go to sleep." Huge smile again as if to say... "Naw, I'm not really tired. And we both know you'll come get me if I cry enough!" So that was it. I left and let her cry for another maybe 15 minutes and she was out. I was proud of myself. We'll see how it goes tonight when I'm actually sleepy.

And so it begins....

Brody and Charlotte sittin in a tree.... K-I-S-S-I-N-G.....Jk, they're not up to that YET!? We had the Riddles over for some 4th festivities and Ariane and I wanted to get the kiddos together for a cute picture. (And we wanted a picture of them with their cute 4th outfits!!) Let me point out, NONE OF THIS IS STAGED!! Seriously, Brody did this all on his own, so cute :)
First.. hand on her knee :) Then he reached out and grabbed her hand.

Here she's trying to move her hand and he's trying to get a better grip.

This was a couple days ago when we went on a little family trip to the pool. I love going there and Charlotte really likes it too.

Charlotte's so cute bikini. It's getting kind of small so she'll probably only be wearing a couple more times :( Then it's one piece's from now on.

Well that's it. Hope everyone had a good weekend, cause we sure did. We love you Riddle Family!!!!

More pics

Just some more pics to add on to the ones below. I caught the ones of her smiling just today :)

Update on our sweet baby

One of my friends came over and did a quick photo shoot with Charlotte. She was SOOO mad about getting her pictures taken. So we did another one yesterday. I can't wait to see those!
Charlotte and I have identical feet. That's really all she got from me :)

Cute little bum :)

George calls our big toes "opposable toes". This looks like she's giving you a "toe's" up :)

A very brief lull in her screaming. This is my favorite picture. I think she looks so pretty :)

This is her BEAUTIFUL blessing dress that my mom got for her. This picture kind of looks like she's floating!
Well, my friend Amanda had a good idea and I'm going to copy her.
This is what Charlotte is up to at 7 weeks old (today!):
1. She is a fabulous sleeper! A couple of times a week she'll sleep for 8-9 hours, but most nights it's about 5-6 hours at a time. During the day she's awake more, only sleeping for 2-4 hours at a time. I love it. I feel like I have a buddy all the time!
2. She absolutely HATES tummy time. The Dr. said she should be up to about 15-20 minutes a day, and she makes it everyday, but is SO miserable when she's on her tummy. There have only been a handful of times that she's enjoyed it. She has had a pretty strong neck since she was born, but now she can use her arms to push up her chest and head.
3. She's really gassy. People hold her and ALWAYS comment on the rumbly noises that come out of her, then the FOUL smell coming after. It's kind of embarrassing. She doesn't ever fuss or act like she's hurting though. She just is gassy, that's all!
4. She makes the funniest faces. She can raise one side of her lip (Elvis style) and one eyebrow. Sometimes she'll look at me out of the corner of her eye and raise the one eyebrow as if to say, "Mom, stop it." It's usually when I'm making ridiculous noises to get her to smile. She also is starting to smile more. Mostly when she first wakes up and I'm changing her diaper.
5. She hardly ever cries. Just before she eats. And when she does eat she acts like she's never been fed in her life!! Any other time she fusses is when she's overstimulated, I think. Like, when there's a lot of noise and she's getting passed around to everyone. Just because at home it's just George and I, so it's usually pretty quiet and low-key.
6. She sings. Well, hums. When she starts to fall asleep she hums until she's out. It's really cute. Sometimes it goes all high pitched and sounds like she's about to cry, but then she takes a deep breath and it goes back down to the soft hum. I love it. I can actually hear her doing it right now on the monitor! At her blessing she slept the whole time and in the circle was humming the whole blessing. When all the men were holding her in the circle, they said instead of bouncing her to make her stop crying, they were all bouncing her from laughing :)
7. She kicks like crazy. Especially when she's being held. My dad said it looks like she's trying to kick start a motorcycle.
8. She loves music. So far her favorites are Black Eyed Peas, any male country singer and Michael Jackson. She'll either smile and kick her legs and pump her fists, or fall asleep :)
Well, that's about it. We just love our little girl. I love being a mother. It's so much fun, everyday! George and I were talking the other day and I just know that her little spirit was sent to us for a reason. Heavenly Father knew what we could and couldn't handle. She's so wonderful and we love her more everyday.

Friends and first batch of blessing day pics...

This is just a picture post until I have Charlotte's pictures of her in the blessing dress and stuff. 4 Generations. Grandma Jex, Dad, Charlotte and Me!

George and Grandpa Jex, Me and Charlotte and Grandma Jex.

Grandma holding baby Charlotte.

Gotta get rid of the red eye somehow. Charlotte in her cute jammies that fit now!!

Kambria Jensen and Charlotte as mummies :) Almost exactly 3 weeks apart. We all think they look alike.

She's so baldy!

Erin Black and Jaxon came to visit us. Jaxon wasn't a huge fan of Charlotte. Judging from this picture, she seemed pretty uninterested as well :) We had a fun time visiting with them though!!
